"Our 3 workers were killed by miscreants in Lakhimpur Kheri" says MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni
The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni said three BJP workers were killed by miscreants from agitating farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.
Lucknow: The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Mishra Teni said three BJP workers were killed by miscreants from agitating farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.
"During the Lakhimpur Kheri visit, our workers came to receive us amid farmers' protest. Some miscreants from agitating farmers started stone pelting on the car and injured our driver. Due to this, our car got imbalanced and 2 people died coming under it. After this, our 3 workers were killed and cars were set on fire," MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni told ANI in a phone call.
Farmers alleged that Union Minister of State for Home, Ajay Mishra Teni and his son Ashish Mishra Teni in Tikunia, are responsible for the death of farmers in with Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday.
MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni denied the allegation claiming his son was not at the spot during the violence.
"My son wasn't present at the spot. There were miscreants who attacked workers with sticks and swords. If my son would've been there, he wouldn't have come out alive. They've killed people and damaged and set cars on fire. We have video evidence," said Ajay Mishra Teni.
