Pak Train Accident: Death Toll Rises To 25

Death toll rose to 25 after the Hazara Express overturned in Pakistan's Nawabshah on Sunday leaving several people injured.

Reportedly, 10 bogies of the Rawalpindi-bound Hazara Express overturned as the train derailed, and at least 15 people died while more than 50 people were severely injured in the accident.

According to some media reports, the accident happened near the Sahara Railway Station, located between Shahzadpur and Nawabshah.

The train was bound for Pakistan's Punjab from Karachi when the accident happened.

According to the sources, the affected people were shifted to the People's Medical Hospital in Nawabshah. The officials said the exact reason behind the derailment is not yet known.

An Emergency protocol has been imposed in nearby hospitals following the accident.
