Petrol price hiked by Rs 7.20 in 12 days
Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 102.61 per litre as against Rs 101.81 previously, while diesel rates have gone up from Rs 93.07 per litre to Rs 93.87
New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were hiked again on Saturday for the tenth time in 12 days. Since the revision in fuel prices began on March 22, petrol and diesel rates have increased by Rs 7.20 per litre.
Petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 102.61 per litre as against Rs 101.81 previously, while diesel rates have gone up from Rs 93.07 per litre to Rs 93.87, according to a price notification of state fuel retailers, according to news agency PTI.
It may be noted that no price hike was done during the assembly elections for the five states, though the petroleum companies were saying that they were facing huge financial losses due to the hike in the price of crude oil in the international market following the Ukraine war.
But after the elections were held and various parties formed governments, the prices of fuels started going up significantly.
