Security lapses of the Prime Minister during his visit to Punjab has triggered a massive verbal fight in Punjab, with the ruling Congress and the opposition BJP furiously attacking each other ahead of elections in the state in February-March.
New Delhi: Supreme Court will hear the petition seeking enquiry into Prime Minister security lapses during his visit to Punjab to inaugurate Centre sponsored programs.
Though Punjab government has set up a high-level enquiry team to probe the incident, which will be submit the report to the Chief Secretary within three days.

Punjab government has formed the two-member committee - Justice (retd) Mehtab Gill of the Punjab and Haryana High Court and Anurag Verma, Principal Secretary of the Department of Home Affairs and Justice to probe the security lapses.
