Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra traded charges against each other's party to in their respective political rallies in Punjab. 

Arvind Kejriwal, who in Amritsar, targetted Congress CM candidate and incumbent Punjab chief minister Charanjit Singh Channi on the arrest of the latter's nephew by Enforcement Directorate (ED). 

Kejriwal said, "Channi Sahab did an investigation on himself, when Bhagwant Mann will become CM, he will do a fair investigation on sand mining. When his relative has confessed that all the money belongs to Channi, why is ED not arresting him?." 

"Congress party has become a circus in Punjab. Channi Sahab is going to lose from both Assembly constituencies. AAP is going to defeat him. He'll never be the CM when he can't be an MLA," added Kejriwal.  

On the other hand, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who released 'Navi Soch Nava Punjab' rally, in Kotkapura, Punjab, asked the dubious  political origin of AAP.

Priyanka said, "AAP has emerged from RSS...There's nothing in the name of educational and healthcare institutions in Delhi. It's important to know the truth about political parties and  their leaders."

She lashed out at BJP and former CM Capt. Amarinder Singh's 'secret alliance' before Channi was made CM. Also, she justified the appointment of Channi as Punjab CM.

"We've Congress government  in Punjab for last 5 years...this government  stopped being operated from Punjab, instead was being operated from Delhi, not by Congress but BJP. This hidden alliance has now come out in public... It's the reason behind bringing Channi as CM." 

The 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly elections will be held in Punjab on 20 February 2022 to elect the 117 members of the 16th Assembly of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on 10 March 2022.
