Priyanka Gandhi to attend last rites of farmers killed in Lakhimpur
This was second visit of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to Lakhimpur Kheri. On last week she had visited deceased family members of four farmers who were mowed down by Union Minister's son Ashish Mishra
Lucknow: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will attend the last rites of the farmers who were mowed down in Lakhimpur Kheri.
Union Minister for State, Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra was arrested in connection to the case. Police have made elaborate security arrangements on Lucknow- Sitapur- Lakhimpur highway.
However, banners are putting on either side of the highway stating that go back "Rahul Gandhi and go back Priyanka Gandhi". Some banners are mentioned details of the organizations and persons, but some banners have vague details. But pro-BJP supporters condemning the visit of Priyank Gandhi Vadra to Lakhimpur Kheri for the second time.
Minister's son is accused of mowed down four farmers who are peacefully protesting for the visit of UP deputy chief minister to Lakhimpur Kheri. SUV owned by Ashish Mishra allegedly mowed down the protesting farmers. In the violence total 8 people had died including four farmers.
Farmers and leaders of various farm unions from various states and districts of the state will participate in the programme. Farmer leader and national spokesperson of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Rakesh Tikait arrived in Tikunia last night for the programme.
