Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed actor Alec Baldwin, who is producing and starring in the film, discharged a prop firearm that killed the director of photography, 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins.
The injured man, confirmed to be the film’s writer and director Joel Souza, left hospital after receiving treatment.

Alexander Rae Baldwin III is an American actor, writer, comedian, film producer, and political activist.
Since 1980, Alec Baldwin has appeared in numerous productions on stage, in films and on television. He received a Tony nomination (A Streetcar Named Desire, 1992) an Oscar nomination (The Cooler, 2004).
