The post shared a glimpse into the Gandhi household, where the title of "Mum's favourite" isn't held by Rahul or his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, but by Noorie, their Jack Russell Terrier.The post featured two candid photos of a beaming Sonia Gandhi, who was seen carrying Noorie in a dog backpack. Noorie, who has become a beloved member of the Gandhi household, was a gift from Rahul Gandhi to his mother last year. On World Animal Day in 2023, Rahul shared the story of how he met Noorie at a dog kennel in Mapusa, a town in North Goa.

In a video posted on social media, the Gandhi scion is seen selecting Noorie from a group of puppies during a visit to Goa in August 2023. He later surprised Sonia Gandhi at her Delhi home with the lively and affectionate puppy.

For the few months she's been with us, little Noorie has lit up our lives," he captioned the video introducing Noorie to the world.The Gandhi family is known for their love of animals, with several dogs making their home at the family's residence over the years.
