New Delhi: After Congress leader, RPN Singh joined the BJP, his former party colleague Shashi Tharoor takes a dig at him saying that the BJP campaign on Congress Mukt Bharat is now Congress yukt BJP.
Just a few days left crucial Uttar Pradesh polls, RPN Singh quit the Congress and joined the BJP. His exit is considered as a big setback to the grand old party in Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Singh was the union minister in Manmohan Singh Cabinet, joined the party. Congress leaders have criticized Singh for switching the camp during elections time.
Mr. Tharoor took to Twitter saying in Hindi that, "'Chorh kar ja rahe hain ghar apna, shayad unke kuch aur sapne hain, ab udhar bhi sab apna sa hai, ab udhar bhi toh sabhi apne hain. (Congress-yukt BJP)'" The tweet roughly translates to: "He is leaving his home, maybe he has other dreams; now there also it feels homely, there also are his own people".
Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera responded to his tweet said in Hindi: "One who couldn't be true to his ideology, cannot be our own." Borrowing the essence of the 'Bhagwad Gita', Mr Khera said, "Have to defeat those who divide people in 80-20, O Arjun; don't look for your people there, don't look for dreams there."
