UP third phase 55 seats, all seats in Punjab voting tomorrow
In Uttar Pradesh, polling is being held in seven phases. In the third phase, voting will be held for 59 assembly seats across 16 districts. 627 candidates are in the fray in the third phase, in which over 2.15 crore people are eligible to cast their votes.
New Delhi: Third phase polling for 55 seats in UP and voting for all 117 Assembly seats in Punjab will held tomorrow.
On Saturday, political parties leaders have conducted door to door campaign in both states. Last-minute campaign by the candidates held in both Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
In Uttar Pradesh, polling is being held in seven phases. In the third phase, voting will be held for 59 assembly seats across 16 districts. 627 candidates are in the fray in the third phase, in which over 2.15 crore people are eligible to cast their votes.
Polling for the 117-seat Punjab legislative assembly will be held tomorrow. Voting will begin at 7 am and go on till 6 pm. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
In UP, the districts where polling will be held are Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, Kasganj, Mainpuri, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Jalaun, Jhanshi, Lalitpur, Hamirpur, and Mahoba.
The Karhal Assembly seat, from where Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is contesting, will also go to the polls in this phase. The BJP has fielded Union minister S P Singh Baghel from the seat.
