The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in various parts of the country today, July 27. The regions to be affected include East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Western Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, East Rajasthan, South Interior Karnataka, and Uttarakhand. Additionally, extremely heavy rainfall is expected in the Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra.In Maharashtra, Mumbai and Thane are on a yellow alert for heavy rains, whereas Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Pune, and Satara are forecasted to receive very heavy rains. Meanwhile, Delhi is expected to experience light to moderate rain and thundershowers today.

The IMD has forecast very heavy rains over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on July 26 and 27; Vidarbha on July 27; Konkan and Goa on July 27 and 28; and Madhya Maharashtra on July 28. Saurashtra and Kutch are expected to see heavy rain on July 26, 28, and 29, while the Gujarat region will experience heavy rainfall from July 27 to 29.

Heavy rains are also predicted over Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat from July 26 to 30; Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh from July 26 to 28; and Marathwada on July 27.

In Uttarakhand, very heavy rains are anticipated on July 27 and 29, while East Rajasthan is expected to experience very heavy rains from July 26 to 28.
