Will not move to UK, Ambani clarified
Following report in a newspaper regarding the acquisition of property in London, the Reliance group has clarified that Mukesh Ambani and his family will not move to the UK or anywhere in the world. However, Reliance admitted that company has brought a property in UK.
New Delhi: Unconfirmed reports have been circulating in social media claiming that Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family are likely to move to London.
Reports are doing rounds in social media stated that Ambani has purchased Stoke Park estate in London, he would likely to shift his family to UK, however Reliance group has issued a statement stating that reports are baseless.
Report in a news paper has led unwanted and baseless speculation in social media regarding the Ambani family's plans to partly reside in Stoke Park, London, but it was false and baseless report”, Reliance statement said.
“Ambani and his family have no plan to relocate or reside in London or anywhere else in the world.", statement clarified.
Mukesh Ambani, Asia's richest person, lives with his family in a 400,000 square feet Altamount road residence, Antilia, in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Recent reports had said that the Ambani family is expected to make the 300-acre country club in Buckinghamshire, Stoke Park, their primary residence, NDTV reported.
However, Reliance group admitted that company has acquired Stoke Park estate recently and its acquisition of the heritage property is aimed at enhancing this as a premier golfing and sporting resort, while fully complying with the planning guidelines and local regulations.
"This acquisition will add to the fast-growing consumer business of the group. Simultaneously, it will also expand the footprint of India's famed hospitality industry globally," the statement added.
