2 killed, 4 injured in explosion at Ludhiana Court complex, NSG team to reach blast site
Punjab Congress paid condolences to the family members of the victims of the Ludhiana blast.
Ludhiana: At least two people have been killed and four others injured in an explosion on the second floor of the Ludhiana Court complex on Thursday. The explosion was heard near the Record Room on the second floor.
"Bomb disposal team and forensics team has been called from Chandigarh for the probe. There is no need to panic, Ludhiana Police Commissioner told media persons.
"The identity of a possible suspect, whose body was found at the explosion site, is being ascertained. Four persons injured are in stable condition. Bomb disposal squad is at the site. Police conducting a search at the Court complex. A team of NSG is also coming here", Ludhiana CP told news agency ANI.
"I am going to Ludhiana. Some anti-national elements are doing such acts as Assembly elections are nearing. The government is on alert. Those found guilty will not be spared", said Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi on the explosion at Ludhiana District Court Complex.
Dy Punjab CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa visited the hospital to meet the injured. "Patients have minor injuries. One of them said the explosion sound was too loud as if a building fell. Pakistan doesn't want us stable," he told news agency ANI.
Punjab Congress paid condolences to the family members of the victims of the Ludhiana blast. "We will not let anyone disturb the peace of Punjab. The culprits who are trying to disturb the safety of Punjab will not be spared, " said the Congress party.
