Apartments with more than 3 COVID-19 cases to be declared containment zone
If a containment is declared all residents within the area shall be tested.
Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) issued an advisory to housing societies/apartment complexes on Thursday. In view of rising COVID cases the BBMP has decided to enhance surveillance.
The entire apartment complex will be declared a 'containment zone' for a minimum of 7 days in case of more than 3 COVID-19 cases; all residents will be tested, detailed contact tracing and surveillance to be done.
If a containment is declared all residents within the area shall be tested. Detailed contact tracing and surveillance activities shall be conducted. All house hold shall be surveyed for health of vulnerable population. Testing of all population within containment zone is advisable and mandatory, if symptomatic.

New Corona cases have crossed 21,000 in Karnataka and 15, 617 in Bengaluru. The positivity rate in the state has reached 10.96 per cent, and 1,541 people are discharged. Active cases stood at 93,009 (B'lore- 73k).
