Bengaluru traffic rules violators can pay fine through paytm
Bengaluru: Bengaluru Traffic Police has introduced a digital mode of payment of fines for traffic rules violations.
Henceforth motorists can pay the fine for traffic rules violations through Paytm. In Paytm, those who violate the traffic rules can pay the fine by selecting Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) option. In Paytm, the option is also available of ‘pay for challan’ in which traffic rules violators can pay the amount free of cost; there will be no additional charges to pay the fine, said Dr.B.R. Ravikanthe Gowds, Joint Commissioner of Bengaluru Traffic Police.
If the vehicle registration number mentioned in the BTP option, it would easy for people to know about traffic violation cases of their vehicles. People can pay the fine and get the receipt of the same. Paytm will send the digital notification regarding the payment of the fine, Mr. Gowda said.
