The eagerly anticipated Chennai concert of Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman faced an unexpected hurdle as it was postponed due to unfavorable weather conditions.

The event, scheduled for August 12, was postponed keeping in mind the health and safety of Rahman's devoted fans and attendees.

Taking to Twitter, Rahman expressed his regret and explained that the decision was guided by authorities and the wellbeing of all involved.

His post drew responses from disappointed fans, some of whom had already journeyed to the venue, while others expressed their anticipation for weeks on end.

Rahman, in response to the sentiments of his followers, voiced his hope for state-of-the-art infrastructure that would prevent such disruptions in the future, ensuring seamless performances even in adverse weather.

In a notable interaction, Rahman appealed to the government for the development of advanced facilities to support the arts, mega shows, and international experiences in Chennai.
