Bangalore University achieves 62 per cent vaccination

Bengaluru: Bangalore University has achieved 62 per cent vaccination since the vaccination drive started in April. The vaccination drive is on a war footing to begin offline academic activities.

To achieve complete vaccination of students in the university and affiliated colleges, Bangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof Venugopal K.R has taken several meetings for affiliated college principals and heads of PG department to take the initiative to vaccinate all the stakeholders.

Also, the Bangalore University is compiling the vaccination data and motivating all the students and staff to take Covid-19 vaccine. Each professor is assigned with 25 affiliated colleges and data is collected on daily basis.

According to latest data available with the university, among hostel students 66 per cent got vaccinated. Bangalore University has 291 affiliated colleges with 107614 target.
