BSP successor from dalit community: Mayawati

Lucknow: BSP chief Mayawati has categorically stated she will appoint her successor anytime soon and asserted that the successor will be from the Dalit community.
Sixty-five-year-old Bahujan Samaj Party supremo said that she is healthy to lead the party at this point of time. Whenever decision was to be taken, the successor from Dalit community only, she added.
Referring to an interview of party general secretary Satish Chandra Misra to a TV channel, the interviewer repeatedly Mr. Misra about her successor, “I would like to inform the interviewer that I don’t need to appoint a successor yet. But when time comes, if my health is not supporting me I will appoint my successor”, she said.
BSP supremo also said that her successor will be from the Dalit community only. Mayawati has appointed Kanshi Ram as her successor when his health condition worsened.
Criticising the Congress for describing her as “Daulat ki Beti" (daughter of wealth) in a party booklet, Mayawati criticized Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, “Congress come and sit under the Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. When some atrocity happens, they visit the place. Nothing will happen with this drama because people know everything”, she said.
