BSY requests Modi to provide 1.5 core vaccine doses
Bengaluru: Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa placed a request before Prime Minister Narendra Modi to provide a minimum 1.5 crore vaccine doses per month to Karnataka.
During a video conference with the Prime Minister here on Friday, Mr. Yediyurappa placed an request before the Prime Minister to provide vaccine doses to Karnataka to meet the demand.
Prime Minister expressed concern over raise in coronavirus cases in Europe and US, asked the Chief Ministers to make preparation for third wave of coronavirus.
He called the Chief Minister to upgrade the health infrastructure facilities and increase the testing. The Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa stated that the covid cases in the state has come down. The total covid cases registered in the state was 1900 and in Bengaluru total cases recorded, 400. The positivity rate is 1.42 %, and the fatality rate was reduced to 1.25%, he briefed the PM.

Karnataka needs 5 lakh vaccine doses per day, and per month 1.5 crore doses of vaccine are required. The state government has instructed the officials to implement covid protocol norms based on suggestions of the technical committee on covid.
