BSY says he is happy for sanctioning memorial to Ambareesh

Kalaburgi: Chief Minister B.S.Yediyurappa said that he was happy about the sanctioning of memorial to popular actor turned politician Ambareesh, during his tenure.

Speaking to reporters after inaugurating various developmental programs in the district, Mr.Yediyurappa said that he was happy about approving the memorial of later actor turned politician Ambareesh in the premises of Kanteerava Studio. 

Chief Minister' statement in response to H.D.Kumaraswamy's claim over sanctioning of the memorial of Ambareesh when was the Chief Minister. Soon after his claim, Sumalatha stated that the memorial was sanctioned by present chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa. Instead, she countered that Kumaraswamy has refused to sanction the memorial of Ambareesh when senior actor Doddanna and Shivaram approached him.

Even producer Rockline Venkatesh and Doddanna stated that "Mr. Kumaraswamy bluntly refused to sanction any memorial for Ambareesh, by saying that late actor has not done anything to Kannada industry", Doddanna said.

Further Chief Minister said that "I am happy about approving the proposal to construct a memorial to Ambareesh. He advised both warring groups of JD(S) and supporters of Mandya MP, Sumalatha, not to fight on this issue. All are should unite for the development of Mandya", he advised.

Refused to react about the ongoing tussle between former Chief Minister H.D.Kumaraswamy and Sumalatha, the Chief Minister said that “I will not go into the fight between two groups. Rather I advise them to unite for the development of the state; Mandya is the part of our state, we should give more attention to the development of that district”, Mr. Yediyurappa said. 

Regarding a question on the expansion of the cabinet, the Chief Minister said that there was no discussion about cabinet expansion. Party has not discussed to drop or inclusion of the minister to the cabinet, he replied.
