Cabinet Reshuffle: UP gets 7 ministerial berths, Gujarat 5, K'taka & WB 4
New Delhi: Poll-bound Uttar Pradesh took a lion's share followed by Gujarat amongst 43 Members of Parliament who took oath as ministers in the swearing-in ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday.
As expected seven and five Members of Parliament respectively from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat took oath as ministers. The new council of ministers being hailed as a pool of 'young, workaholic and technocratic candidates'.
Seven ministers, currently holding independent and state ministers' rank, have been elevated to the Cabinet. In a fast paced political developments today, 11 ministers resigned from the Modi Cabinet. Union Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot had submitted his resignation on Tuesday.
