Chief Minister Bommai rules out foreign tour
Chief Minister much-hyped foreign tour was linked to change of leadership in the state, rumour is doing rounds in the state that, BJP central leadership will change the leadership, sending Bommai to a foreign trip for treatment for his leg injury
Hubballi: Ending speculation about his much-hyped foreign tour for knee surgery, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said he don’t have any plans of going on a foreign tour.
Speaking to media persons at Hubballi, the Chief Minister said, "the World Economic Forum conclave in Davos has been postponed to June. So I am not going on any foreign tour now”.
Rumour is doing rounds that, the Chief Minister is going foreign tour for a surgery and also his betenoirs in the party has linked his foreign tour for a change of leadership in the state.
Omicron meeting: Chief Minister said that he will hold a meeting with experts on Sunday to discuss measures to control the spread of Omicron, the new Covid variant.
"Omicron cases are on the rise in neighbouring Maharashtra, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This is a cause for concern. A meeting with experts would be held on Sunday to discuss the situation and decide about appropriate measures to prevent its spread in Karnataka," Chief Minister said.
