Congress is leader of ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang: Narendra Modi
"Congress has resorted to British policy to rule the Country. Divide and rule policy of Congress has made the country to suffer", Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi came down heavily on Opposition Congress in Lok Sabha, accusing the grand old party is the leader of the ‘Tukde Tukde’ gang.
While replying to debate on the motion of thanks to the Presidential address, Mr. Modi made an all-out attack against Congress, alleging that Congress is adopting a divide and rule policy of British rule to India.
To counter Rahul Gandhi’s accusation of government dents federalism, Mr. Modi quotes Jawaharlal Nehru’s book Discovery of India. He further accused of Congress had a divisive mentality to divide the people.
"Angrez chale gaye (the British have left) but divide and rule remained... That's why the Congress has become the leader of the 'Tukde Tukde' gang,", Mr.Modi said.
Quoting Discovery of India, penned by Nehru, "Bengali, Marathi, Gujrati, Tamil, Andhra, Oriya, Assamese, Kannada, Malayali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Hindustani... for hundreds of years, have made their own identity." Prime Minister replied to the allegation of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Mr. Rahul Gandhi criticized that the government’s decisions were damaging the very foundation of the Constitution and it changing the federal nature of the country.
"Rashtra is not an arrangement of rule or government - it is a live soul for us. For 1000 years, people have been connected to it," PM Modi said today, quoting the ancient text of Vishnu Puran.
