Delhi Assembly house panel issues summons to Kangana Ranaut

New Delhi: Delhi Assembly house panel has summoned actor Kangana Ranaut for her remarks against Sikhs

Panel has issued summons to the actor for disturbing peace and harmony, asked her to appear before the panel on December 6. The panel is headed by Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha.

She has allegedly made "obnoxious and derogatory remarks on Sikhs", based on the issue raised in the House, panel has taken cognizance and issued summons to controversial actor.

The actor also faces a first information report, or FIR, in Mumbai filed by Sikhs for using derogatory language against them on social media.

The police complaint filed by a Mumbai businessman and leaders of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Shiromani Akali Dal alleged that Ms Ranaut "intentionally and deliberately" portrayed the year-long protest by farmers against three new farm laws as a "Khalistani" movement and called them "Khalistani terrorists".
