Delhi Public School, Mathura Road Receives Bomb Threat Via E-Mail; Investigation Underway
Delhi Public School (DPS), Mathura Road received a bomb threat on Thursday morning. The Threat was received through an email. Delhi Police said SOP will be followed.
Soon after receiving the information, cops rushed to the school. Ambulance and police vans were seen entering the famous school. An investigation is currently underway.
Today's bomb threat comes just two weeks after Indian Public School in the national capital received a bomb threat vial mail. Delhi Police had said, "The Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received a bomb threat via email. As a precautionary measure, the school has been vacated. Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad informed."
It turned out to be a hoax call as DCP Chandan Chaudhary said that a minute and thorough checking of the school premises was undertaken by BDS, BDT, and SWAT teams after evacuating the premises. A senior police officer said an individual - identified only as Brijesh at this time - had alerted authorities about the e-mail, which was received at 10.49 am.
