Imran Khan delays no-trust vote in the House: Opposition blames
Islamabad: Pakistan Opposition parties have accused the Speaker of the National Assembly delays the no-trust vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Opposition parties have blamed Imran Khan evading for no-trust vote in the House despite the order of the Supreme Court. While set aside the order on dissolution of Pak Assembly, the court had directed the Prime Minister to face not trust vote in the House.
However the Speaker has insisted for debate in the House instead of directly not trust vote without any debate, however, opposition parties have objected for debate on the matter.
Opposition parties leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif accused Prime Minister Imran Khan of trying to save his seat and unnecessarily delaying the no-trust vote in the House.
Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party effectively lost the majority in the assembly earlier this month when a key coalition partner said its seven lawmakers would vote with the opposition. More than a dozen lawmakers from the ruling party also indicated that they would cross the floor. More than 21 ruling party MPs have identified with Opposition parties.
