Karnataka: Boat capsizes in Kasarkodu, 1 missing
Karwar: One fisherman has been missing after a fishing boat has been capsized in Honnavara Taluka, the coastal district of Karwar.
The missing fisherman has been identified as Uday Damodar Tandel (30).
Three fishermen, Vijay Fernandes (49), Shankar Tandel ( 38), Kameshwar Tandel (39), safely swam to the shore.
The boat met with the accident after being hit by a huge wave when they were engaged in fishing near eco beach, Honnavara.
Police and fire department personnel are engaged in the rescue operation to find the missing fisherman.
