Karnataka Cabinet approves Basavanna's statue at Vidhana Soudha
Bengaluru: Karnataka Cabinet Thursday approved the installation of the 12th-century social reformer Basavanna statute in the premises of Vidhana Soudha.
Speaking to the media after the Cabinet meeting held in Vidhana Soudha, Karnataka Deputy CM Dr CN Ashwathnarayan said the cost for the statue is not much.
In a press meet held after the Cabinet meeting, Home Minister Basavraj Bommai announced Cabinet decisions.

The Karnataka Cabinet approved cow shelters (Goshala) in every district. Rs 15 crores has been sanctioned in the first phase of the project. The second round of funding will be dependent on the progress of the project.
Crop survey will get tech support. Farmers can update crop information on the mobile app. The Cabinet has approved Rs 48 crore for the crop survey.
