Bengaluru: Karnataka Government Friday withdrew the 10 pm to 5 am night curfew that was enforced due to COVID-19. “Night curfew, which is being imposed from 10 pm to 5 am, is herewith withdrawn," the order read.
Police commissioner Kamal Pant had extended prohibitory orders and night curfew in Bengaluru city till October 25. However, prohibitory orders clamped under section 144 of CrPC will be relaxed in places like railway stations, the airport and bus terminals. Night curfew will be in place from 10 pm to 5 am.
After October 25, there was confusion about the extension of the night curfew. The government ended the 10-day confusion over the status of the night curfew. Also, horse race is permitted to resume strictly adhering to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and SOPs issued by Health and Family Welfare Department.
