‘Kohli world’s best captain’, Vinod Kambli
Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli praised Virat Kohli for leading India's spectacular victory in the first test against South Africa at Supers Sports Park in Centurion on Thursday
Mumbai: After registering their second test victory in South Africa under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, former India cricketer, Vinod Kambli termed him as ‘world’s best captain’.
India beats South Africa by 113 runs in the first test out of three-match series at the Supers Sports Park in Centurion on Thursday. It was the first victory of Captain Virat Kohli after he was replaced as India’s limited-overs skipper. Former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli termed Kohli as the world’s best skipper.
"There's a talk of change in captaincy, weather is also against us! But look what we did, we have done wonders. Kohli has proved why he is the world's best captain. When it comes to his batting, this series will also bring the old Kohli back," Mr. Kambli tweeted in Hindi.
Kohli scored 35 runs in the first innings and 18 runs in the second innings. In the first test, India defended 305 runs in the fourth innings of the Centurion Test where Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami picked three wickets each.
