KVN Productions issues clarification after  BoycottRRRinKarnataka trends on Twitter

Bengaluru: Ahead of the release of SS Rajamouli directorial Telugu much-awaited RRR, movie buffs in Karnataka are disappointed for not scheduling the release in the Kannada version in the state. The Twitterati resented the movie being released in Telugu in Karnataka. 

Therefore, #BoycottRRRinKarnataka is trending on the micro-blogging platform Twitter. 

Kannada Entertainment, a Twitter handle that claims to explore the Kannada entertainment market, alleged anti-Kannada stance by the RRR crew.

"#RRR is releasing only in Telugu in #Bengaluru #Karnataka. @ssrajamouli said that it would be otherwise. But this is Anti-Kannada's stance by the whole RRR team. @KannadaGrahaka Telugu Film Industry #TFI is challenging #Kannadigas".

"Every dubbed movie is released in only 3 theatres in #Bengaluru. Sri Venkateshwara is one among them. And dubbed version is allocated to this theatre to register a "namesake" release".

Netizens are divided over who is to be blamed for the lesser number of theatres for the Kannada version of RRR. Some blamed the distributor for allowing maximum screens to the Telugu version of RRR. 

Following heated arguments over the movie release, KVN Productions issued clarification that they are in talks with theatre owners to relase the Kannada version of RRR. They also stated that they are trying to bring the movie in maximum theatres.
