Lok Sabha adjourned after uproar over Lakhimpur Kheri incident

New Delhi: Both houses of the Parliament on Thursday witnessed uproar over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident and the resignation of MoS Home Ajay Misra Teni. The Lok Sabha (Lower House) was adjourned till 11 am December 17  following an uproar by Opposition MPs over the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.

"Government is not ready to discuss anything about the Lakhimpur Kheri issue. SIT has given a special report telling it is a clear conspiracy. Parliament is not ready to discuss, it is very unfortunate. Government should come forward with a statement on the issue", said KC Venugopal of Congress.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi continued his demand for the resignation of MoS Home Ajay Misra Teni. He alleged that a recent revelation by SIT report that the Lakhimpur Kheri incident was a 'pre-planned conspiracy'.

Rahul Gandhi said, "We should be allowed to speak about the murder that was committed in Lakhimpur Kheri, where there was an involvement of the Minister and about which it has been said that it was a conspiracy. The Minister who killed farmers should resign and be punished".
