Bengaluru: Opposition leader in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah accused that Narendra Modi headed government at the Centre of destroying Gandhiji principles of truth and non-violence, and believed in violence and false narrative.
Attending Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti at the KPCC office, Mr. Siddaramaiah lashed out Modi government at centre, stated that the Modi government is promoting violence across the Country.
Throughout his life, Gandhiji led truthful life and preached nonviolence, thus he is acceptable to not only India and but also across the world. However, on contrary, the BJP government at Centre, opposing Gandhiji principles of nonviolence and openly opposing his truth and nonviolence movement. Unfortunately, BJP government is backing the radicals who openly opposing Gandhiji and his principles, Siddaramaiah opinioned.
“What Modi says, he will act quite opposite to it. If he says to protect something, he will destroy the same”, Mr. Siddaramaiah said.
BJP leaders and its supporters openly praised Nathuram Godse, who killed Gandhi. BJP leaders termed Godse as a patriot. If this government continued in power, it will bring disturb the peace and harmony of this country. If anyone spoke against Modi, the government will charge sedition cases and sent them to jail, this is the situation in the country, Mr. Siddaramaiah remarked.
Since one year, farmers’ protesting against agricultural laws at Delhi, instead of hearing their grievances, the BJP government at the Centre, registering cases against the farmers, the Opposition leader said.
