Lanka's tail-enders were bowled out for a duck. Pathum Nissanka remained unbeaten at 61. 

Mohali Test: Sri Lanka bowled out for 174 in 1st innings

Mohali: Sri Lanka bowled out for 174 in 1st innings in the first Test in Mohali on Sunday. Lankans are trailing by 400 runs. Ravindra Jadeja picked up 5 wickets for India.  

After giving a huge target of 574 to Sri Lanka, India managed to take four early wickets of Lankans. R Ashwin has bagged two wickets on Day 2 of the first test. Later, Lankans lost 6 wickets in just 70 runs.

Ravindra Jadeja's magnificent innings of 175- run knock helps India to declare the first innings at 574 for eight wickets. Rishabh Pant also scored a counter-attacking 96 while Hanuma Vihari, who has promoted up the order, also hit a fifty. Initially, India had won the toss and skipper Rohit Sharma had elected to bat.
