Mumbai: A 54-year old man was allegedly killed by his wife and son and his body thrown off from the balcony from the seventh floor flat in Andheri.

Two had earlier told police that Shantanukrishan Seshadri had died by suicide and claimed that he had tried to end his life in the past too. During the investigation, police found that they were lying. The two allegedly tried to destroy the evidence, police said.
The incident took place at SIDBI quarters in Andheri on Friday afternoon. Before mother and son thrown off him from 7th floor, they have banged Santankrishan Seshadri’s head on the bed and slit his wrist following a heated argument over family expenses on Thursday night.
After murdering him, they flung his body from the balcony to stage the incident as suicide. Police said Seshadri, a financial executive, and his wife had a troubled married life and often had heated arguments over family expenses.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Manjunath Shinge said preliminary investigation has pointed to family dispute as the reason behind the shocking crime. "The man's wife and son have been arrested and we are investigating further.
Police have arrested Santankrishna’s wife , Jaisheela (52), and son, Arvind (26), an engineering graduate. The accused claimed that the victim did not provide money for family expenses and disallowed the family members to enter the bedroom. The accused were forced to sleep in the hall.
