Noida traffic cops issue 12,358 challans, impound 86 vehicles over weekend

NOIDA: The Noida police on Sunday said it impounded 86 vehicles and issued 12,358 challans for various traffic violations, in a two-day crackdown over the weekend aimed at improving road safety.

The traffic police carried out the special campaign on Saturday and Sunday across key areas including Rajnigandha Chowk, Sector 37, Sector 62 Roundabout, Surajpur Chowk, Pari Chowk, Dadri, and several other hotspots in Greater Noida, an official statement said.

"On July 6, a total of 7,406 e-challans were issued and 47 vehicles seized," said a police spokesperson.
