PM Narendra Modi turns 71 today, BJP undertakes events across country
Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 71 on Friday. Ministers, leaders, celebrities and party workers across the country wished the septuagenarian leader on his birthday.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal has shared on Twitter a virtual gallery featuring the life of PM Modi. Goyal said, "Get an immersive look into the life and principles of our visionary & dynamic leader PM Narendra Modi Ji on his birthday. The bold decisions undertaken during his long and illustrious public life have set the course for building a new India".
The saffron party has created birthday templates for people to extend their birthday wishes to the prime minister. The template is made available on the 'My Seva, My Tribute' module section on the NaMo app.
Congress leader and Waynad MP Rahul Gandhi tweeted the shortest birthday wish. "Happy birthday, Modi ji."
To mark PM Modi's birthday and his two decades in public service from September 17 to October 7, the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will be undertaking various welfare and awareness programmes and host 'Nava Bharat Mela' across the country. As part of the campaign, every district unit of the BJYM will organize a unique 'Nava Bharat Mela' publicising the work of the Modi government over the last seven years.
PM Modi was born in Gujarat in 1950, he joined the Hindutva organisation Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at an early age and was later drafted into the BJP.
