Poland expels 45 Russian diplomats for espionage
Poland has already welcomed over 2 million refugees and stated that it will never turn its back on friends in need.
Warsaw: Poland expelled 45 Russian diplomats for espionage, according to news agency AFP. Poland's Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski on Wednesday said the EU member had "expelled 45 Russian spies pretending to be diplomats".
The expulsion of Russian diplomats comes before US President Joe Biden visits Poland on Friday. Biden to discuss with Polish President Andrzej Duda Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Biden's trip will follow a trip to Belgium to meet with G7, European Union leaders and NATO.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement, Biden will discuss how the US, along with our Allies and partners, is reacting to the humanitarian and human rights crisis that Russia's unprovoked and unjustified war on Ukraine has created.
