Prabhakar Sail, prime witness in Aryan Khan drug case, dies
Aryan Khan was also arrested in connection with the case from the cruise liner. Sail, in his early forties, died at his residence in Mahul of Chembur.
Mumbai: The incident which could hamper the ongoing investigation in a drugs-on-cruise case where Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan is one of the accused, Prabhakar Sail, one of the important witnesses in the died of a suspected heart attack on Friday evening.
The case pertains to a drug bust in which a total of 20 persons were arrested in the intervening hours of October 2 and 3, 2021.
Aryan Khan was also arrested in connection with the case from the cruise liner. Sail, in his early forties, died at his residence in Mahul of Chembur.
According to sources, he was the personal bodyguard of independent witness KP Gosavi, who claims to be a private detective and is currently behind bars. Gosavi hit the headlines when a picture of him taken in selfie mode with Aryan Khan went viral.
In the beginning, people thought that Gosavi was an officer on duty but taking a picture as he was with the son of a celebrity. But later NCB denied it and revealed that he was a witness.
Sail had levelled allegations of bribery and wrongdoings against the federal agency’s then Mumbai Zonal Director, Sameer Wankhede, who is currently posted at the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence in Delhi.
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan is on bail and the case is going on. Even Maharashtra Minister, Nawab Malik, who had launched a scathing attack on Wankhede for acting on the behest of the government to tarnish the image of Khan, is also in jail.
He has been arrested by ED on charges of money laundering.
