Sharad Pawar meets Bommai
Bengaluru: National Congress President and Rajya Sabha member Sharad Pawar has met Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai at later's official residence here on Friday.
The Chief Minister's office said that veteran NCP leader had met the Chief Minister, it was purely a courtesy call. Mr. Pawar has congratulated the Chief Minister for his appointment to the CM post. Both leaders have discussed recent unprecedented rains in Maharashtra and the border districts of Karnataka.
"I am thankful for his warm hospitality and hoping that the two states would continue to work together with a Cooperative vision in the years to come", Mr. Pawar tweeted after meeting with Mr. Bommai.
Duo had discussed about Krishna water sharing between two states and both leaders have agreed that water sharing dispute can be resolved through talks. Mr. Bommai and Pawar has agreed to convene meeting between two states regarding the issue. Both are also decided to adopt better coordination between two states during floods.
