Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot decides to expand his cabinet
Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is likely to expand his Cabinet. Three of his cabinet minister have resigned to pave the way to newcomers.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has called a council of ministers meeting today to discuss the political agenda and ask a few more ministers to step down.
Three ministers, Harish Chaudhary, Dr. Raghu Sharma and Govind Singh Dotasara resigned to the Cabinet, all three ministers have written a letter to Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi regarding their willingness to work in the party. Congress in-charge of Rajasthan and party general secretary Ajay Maken said that all three outgoing ministers have willingly resigned to the Cabinet and expressed a desire to work in the party organization.
Congress will honour three outgoing ministers. Govind Sigh Dotasara is the President of the Rajasthan Congress unit, Mr. Raghu Sharma and Harish Chaudhary appointed as a co-in charge of Gujarath and Punjab respectively.
Mr. Ashok Gehlot is under pressure to accommodate the supporters of Sachin Pilot in his cabinet, as per agreement before the party high command, Mr. Gehlot has agreed to induct the supporters of Mr. Pilot in the cabinet.
