Sales staff-farmer spat at SUV showroom: Anand Mahindra emphasises upholding dignity of individual

Bengaluru: Industrialist Anand Mahindra on Tuesday posted his response on Twitter on the alleged humiliation by the sales staff at a Mahindra and Mahindra SUV showroom in Tumkuru, Karnataka. Anand Mahindra emphasised the importance of upholding the dignity of an individual.
Mahindra responded by quoting a tweet by Mahindra and Mahindra CEO Veejay Nakra.
"The Core Purpose of @MahindraRise is to enable our communities & all stakeholders to Rise. And a key Core Value is to uphold the Dignity of the Individual. Any aberration from this philosophy will be addressed with great urgency," Mahindra tweeted.
Mahindra CEO Veejay Nakra, said in a tweet, "Dealers are an integral part of delivering a customer centric experience & we ensure the respect & dignity of all our customers. We are investigating the incident & will take appropriate action, in the case of any transgression, including counselling & training of frontline staff."
A farmer in Tumakuru who went to a showroom to buy a car was humiliated by the salesman who mocked that he could not afford a car, later the farmer threw a challenge and returned with Rs. 10 lakhs. The salesman apologized for humiliating the farmer and his friends. Tilakpark police have intervened in the matter, asked the salesman to apologize to the farmer. The incident occurred at Ramanapalya in Tumakuru, Hebbur Hobli, Ramanapalya resident Kempegowda desired to buy a Bolero pick-up vehicle, he went to Mahindra Showroom in Tumakuru.
