Sanya Malhotra wins Most Promising Actress award

Mumbai: Actress Sanya Malhotra has won the award for Most Promising Actress for 'Pagglait' at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2022.
"Your hard work and perseverance have paid off", said the award organisers.
The 'Dangal' actress is in the lead role in the movie 'Pagglait'. She played the role of a widow who contends with an inability to grieve, quirky relatives, and a startling discovery about her late husband. The movie was released on 26 March 2021 on Netflix.

The film was produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Guneet Monga and Achin Jain under the banners Balaji Motion Pictures and Sikhya Entertainment. The film features , Ashutosh Rana, Shruti Sharma and Raghubir Yadav in lead roles.
She will be next seen in the upcoming Hindi crime thriller 'Love Hostel', the film is scheduled to premiere on 25 February 2022 on ZEE5. The film directed by Shanker Raman and produced by Gauri Khan, Manish Mundra and Gaurav Verma under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films.
