Bengaluru:  Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Friday said that seven schools in the city have received  bomb threat through e-mail and police team has been dispatched with a dog squad to check the spot.

Police Commissioner said that Four schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received a bomb threat through email, our local police are checking about it”.

Delhi Public School, Varthur, Indian Public School Govindapura, Gopalan International School, Mahaedevapura, Wincent Paul School, Hennuru, receives bomb threat. 

The email has been sent through the mail id of Malinda Boren, Bengaluru cybercrime police have investigating the source of the email. 

"Based on the email, our teams are checking there at the spot...when more information comes, it will be shared with you (media)," the Commissioner said, ANI Tweeted quoting the commissioner that “ As of now, bomb threat mail has been received by schools. Local jurisdictional police searching/checking the spot. Bomb checking squad is also on spot. Mail has been received, and our personnel will check it”.

There is a drill and as per that the bomb squads have gone there for checking, he added.

The threat mail received by various schools of Bengaluru City states that a "very powerful bomb" has been planted in the school.
