Mumbai: As disrepute and backlash over the pornography case involving husband Raj Kundra is fading away gradually, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her family is facing a new legal challenge.

Andheri court has issued summon to actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, her sister Shamita Shetty and mother Sunanda Shetty following a complaint by a businessman who has alleged non-repayment of Rs 21 lakhs loan by them. The court ordered the three to appear on February 28, according to news agency ANI.

Shilpa Shetty, sister Shamita and mother Sunanda failed to repay loan, which was allegedly taken by Shilpa and Shamita’s father, Surendra Shetty, added the report.

In 2016, Shilpa Shetty's father Surendra Shetty has passed away in 2016 on Tuesday morning at his Versova residence following a cardiac arrest.

According to reports, the summons were issued to the trio on Friday after an FIR was lodged against them at the Juhu police station. The complaint has been filed by a businessman named Parhad Amra.

Last year in September, Shilpa's husband, businessman Raj Kundra,  was released from the Arthur Road jail. He was granted bail in a pornography case by a magistrate court in Mumbai on furnishing a bond of R 50,000. Raj was arrested for alleged  involvement in the production and streaming of porn films.
