Suspect in fatal stabbing of British Indian teen and two others is engineering graduate

The 31-year-old man being questioned in police custody in relation to the fatal stabbing of three people on the streets of Nottingham, including British Indian teen Grace O'Malley Kumar, is a mechanical engineering graduate with dual nationality of Guinea-Bissau in West Africa and Portugal, it emerged on Friday.
While the suspect is yet to be officially named by the local Nottinghamshire Police in central England, sources have identified him as Valdo Amissao Mendes Calocane who has settled status in the UK by virtue of his Portuguese citizenship.
He is being held on suspicion of murder after he was tasered and arrested on Tuesday, hours after he stabbed 19-year-old University of Nottingham students Grace Kumar and Barnaby Webber and then went on to kill 65-year-old Ian Coates.
