Taliban takes control over Kabul International Airport
Kabul: The Taliban has declared that it has taken over the Kabul International Airport on Tuesday morning. Taliban announcement has come after US troops have set August 31st as the final deadline for withdrawal.
After they symbolically walked across the airport runway, Taliban leaders have addressed the press conference at Kabul airport and stated that victory belongs to all Afghans.
“This victory belongs to us all,” said the Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid at the Kabul airport where he was accompanied by a host of other leaders of the insurgent group; he further added that we want good diplomatic relations with the whole world.”

Zabihullah Mujahid, in a live stream posted by a Talib as he walked through the Kabul airport facility, "The whole world should learned their lesson and this is the enjoyable moment of victory for all Afghan nationals”, he said.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Taliban will have to earn international legitimacy and support by meeting their commitments on freedom of travel, counterterrorism, and respecting the Afghan people's basic rights, including women and minorities.

The US has announced that it will withdraw its troops before August 31st; with this US has ended its 20 years of war that culminated in the Taliban's return to power on August 15 by taking over Kabul city. Without any bloodshed, the Taliban has captured Afghanistan within a span of 45 days. All most all provinces have come under Taliban control.
Taliban officials filmed the empty airfield at the Kabul airport on their mobile phones, surrounded by special forces members of the insurgents.
