DMK MLA's son, his fiancée & 5 others killed in horrific accident in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: In a tragic incident near Kormanagala in Bengaluru, DMK MLAs son and six others travelling in a vehicle died in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to reports, Hosur MLA Y Prakash' son and six of his friends were travelling in a speeding Audi car. The car rammed into a street light pole, leading to the accident.
The deceased are identified as Karuna Sagar (28), son of DMK MLA from Hosur Constituency Y. Prakash, his fiancée Dr. Bindu, daughter-in-law of MLA Prakash, Ishita (21), Dr Dhanusha (21), Akshay Goyal (23), Utsav and Rohith (23).

The deceased, Karuna Sagar and Dr Bindu were set to tie the nuptial knot within couple of months. The tragic incident has shattered both families.
Dr BR Ravikanthe Gowda, Bengaluru Joint Commissioner (Traffic), said, "Initial probe revealed that it's an act of rash/negligent driving with high speed. They were not wearing seat belts therefore airbags didn't open. We're conducting post-mortem and verifying vehicle details".
KPCC President DK Shivakumar has expressed deep sympathies with DMK MLA Y Prakash. Shivakumar said Y Prakash and himself share a bonding irrespective of political differences. Shivakumar had campaigned for Y Prakash in Hosur during the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
