Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha had quit BJP in 2019 and joined Congress. However, he crossed over to TMC as Congress did not give big responsibility to the former union minister. Sinha's former colleague in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee ministry, Yashwant Sinha, is now national vice-president of the TMC.
