UAE defence forces intercept missiles fired by Houthi militia
The ministry also called on the public to follow the news from the UAE’s official authorities.
Abu Dhabi: Air defence forces of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthi terrorist militia on Monday. No casualties were reported in the attack.
According to Emirates news agency WAM, the Ministry of Defence announced on Monday that its air defence forces had intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles targeting the UAE, which were fired by the Houthi terrorist militia.
The fragments of the ballistic missiles fell in different areas around the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.
In its statement, the ministry affirmed its "full readiness to deal with any threats," adding that it will "take all necessary measures to protect the UAE from any attacks."
The ministry also called on the public to follow the news from the UAE’s official authorities.

For more than six years, the Iranian-backed Houthis have been battling a Saudi-led coalition – which includes the UAE – in Yemen, repeatedly carrying out cross-border missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, and launching an unprecedented assault on Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, on January 17, in which three people were killed.
